{"id":2236,"date":"2026-01-11T15:47:17","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T15:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/?page_id=2236"},"modified":"2026-01-11T15:53:22","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T15:53:22","slug":"block","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/block\/","title":{"rendered":"block"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-basics\">The Basics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A block is a container of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/transactions\/\">transactions<\/a>, with a new block being added to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/blockchain\/\">blockchain<\/a>\u00a0once every 2 minutes (see constant\u00a0<code>DIFFICULTY_TARGET_V2<\/code>\u00a0defined as 120 seconds), on average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blocks also contain a special type of transaction, the\u00a0<strong>coinbase transactio<\/strong>n (A special type of transaction included in each block, which contains a small amount of Dinastycoin sent to the miner as a reward for their mining work.), which add newly created Dinastycoin to the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blocks are created through the process of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/mining\/\">mining<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/node\/\">node<\/a>\u00a0that successfully mines the block then broadcasts it to each of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/node\/\">nodes<\/a>\u00a0connected to it, who subsequently re-broadcast the block until the entire Monero network has received it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fake or bad blocks generally cannot be created, as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dinastycoin.com\/en\/node\/\">nodes<\/a>\u00a0that receive blocks always verify the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/transaction.html\">transactions<\/a>\u00a0they contain against a set of consensus rules that all nodes adhere to, including validating the cryptographic\u00a0signatures (A cryptographic method for proving ownership of a piece of information, as well as proving that the information has not been modified after being signed.) \u00a0on each transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Basics A block is a container of\u00a0transactions, with a new block being added to the\u00a0blockchain\u00a0once every 2 minutes (see constant\u00a0DIFFICULTY_TARGET_V2\u00a0defined as 120 seconds), on average.
